Our Busy Life During Thanksgiving

Hello everyone! We are finally feeling better and getting back to normal around here!

This is how we all felt and pretty much what we did starting Wednesday of last week!

But we have gotten back in the swing of things and I can finally show you the things that we did during
our Thanksgiving.

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving my son Eddie had a school program. The title was Celebrate You and Me! We had a half hour wait in the auditorium before he came on stage.

Here is part of the group. Eddie is on the front row. If you count from the right, the 5th person is Eddie. He is wearing a tan colored shirt.

Here is the whole 4th grade singing one of their songs...The programs was super cute!

My hubby's sister and her husband (Beth and Dewey) arrived late on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. She stopped for a visit before going to her hotel.

On Thanksgiving day I got up super early to put the turkey in the oven. Unfortunately I didn't even think to take pictures of our dinner or our guests because we were just chatting away.

That evening after eating way too much, Beth decided to let us open our Christmas gifts she had brought.
Here is one of the gifts Sj received.

Here is one of the gifts Eddie received. Both of our boys got these guns and both got Lego Star Wars Sets.

Here you can see Faith, Hope, and the Hubby's legs (it was 70 degrees on Thanksgiving!)
Each one of us girls (me included) got one of these pink bowler bags that is part of the Fight Like A Girl Campaign. These bags had tons of hair care products, flat irons, paddle brushes, posh potions and lotions.

Here Hope shows you her scarf. She wears it daily!!!

Please forgive how crazy I look I did spend most of the day cooking!!!!
Here I am in my scarf.

And here I am modeling my pink Breast Cancer Awareness bracelet that I found in my bag.

And here is me in my very luxurious fluffy purple robe.
I love this robe!
Us girls felt like we were thoroughly pampered.

Hubby got some luxury sheets. Sounds weird but he loves them.

And this very emotional picture is of my hubby opening up a watch box containing his dad's pocket knife.
Just days before my hubby was talking about this knife and wondering what happened to it.
Now he has it. Best gift ever.

After opening our gifts we followed Beth and Dewey to their hotel and went swimming in the hotel pool AND soaked in the hot tub! (one of my favorite parts)

Friday, the day after Thanksgiving was our pampering day. My hubby had to work because it was Black Friday. Beth and Dewey came over and Beth did our hair.

Here you can see that Faith has pink bangs on one side and a nice teal on the other side. She also got some pink on the under layer of her hair. It is exactly how she wanted it!

Hope got the ends of her hair the teal blue!

I got my hair cut and layered nicely.

Here you can see the copper red and blond chunky highlights on top. The bottom of my hair is a darker reddish brown with some blonde mixed in. I love love my hair.

On Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went to Chillicothe. Ed's brother and his wife gave the kids, ed and myself, $50 each to spend. We HAD to spend it on ourselves. We ate at Casa Del Taco (the best taco place around) and then we went to Kohls and Walmart and spent our money. Beth and Dewey left around 3pm that afternoon.

Sunday we were so exhausted we didn't even make it to church!
Monday I spent the whole day cleaning and getting my house back to normal.

Tuesday night my daughter Faith had her first ever band concert.
Here is a pic of the stage with all the chairs and music stands set up.

Here is a not so good pic of faith. You can see her right there the 3rd stand from the left with her flute in her lap and her teal streak in her hair.

They did so good! Faith even had a solo!!!!

Wednesday night is when that dreaded Norovirus struck. It started with Eddie that night. Friday night Faith and Sj were up with it. Saturday morning hubby woke up with it and Saturday evening I had it.
We all seemed to be feeling better on Sunday but we didn't go to church. We didn't want to give the bug to our fellow members.

Oh and I found out today that my friend's son (Eddies BFF) has the bug now.

So..that is our Thanksgiving holidays in a nutshell.

I hope you all have enjoyed sharing these moments with me!

I have started a new crochet blanket!

(I put my patchwork in hibernation....it is so boring to make!)

Be Blessed!
Erin
