New Crochet Books...YAY!!!

Hello my wonderful friends. Thank you for all of the comments on my previous post. I am happy to report that I do my measurements every week and I have lost 1/2 to 1 inch on most parts of my body. I haven't lost much weight as I am swapping fat for muscle but I know that will come in time.

Now for the true meat of the post. I ordered some new crochet books from Amazon.com on Monday and here it is Thursday and they are here. Talking about fast delivery!!! I am so excited to sit down and show you but first I must say, the pictures aren't as good as I'd like them to be. You see I am sick. The whole coughing, stuffy/runny nose, headache, scratchy throat, sneezing my head off sick!!! I don't get sick often but when I do it puts me in bed. My whole body is drained of energy and all I can do is sleep. So these pictures were taken in my bed at odd angles.

Photo 1: The smile on the amazon box. I love that smile! I have ordered a lot of stuff from amazon lately. I love their speedy delivery and the lower prices and best of all, you can find just about anything on there!
Photo 2: Teaser photo..You wanna know what is in there so bad don't you? :)
Some of you may already recognize these books! I have read about one alot on my rav group.
This one gets a lot of buzz on the We Love Lucy group on Ravelry. This is Jan Eaton's 200 crochet blocks. I have barely thumbed through it but let me tell ya...There are some beautiful blocks in there.
LIke this one called Chocolate box. I like how it has color variations and you can mix and match the squares. I'm sure I will get a lot of usage out of this book.
This one peaked my interest when I was checking it out online. Interlocking Crochet by Tanis Galik. The patterns in this book have 2 sides and the patterns interlock to make the looks in the patterns. Interesting eh?
Here is one of the patterns. Side one is cathedral windows and the other side has florentine zigzags.
Side one is checkerboard and side two is starry sky...How neat! A two sided blanket is in my future..lol
How about this two sided blanket. I love the pink color and the variations on the squares.
And this is side 2 of a sampler type blanket. I have to say, this book is very interesting. I am sure this one will get plenty of use as well.

So that is my post for today. I am thinking I may do a post of all of the crochet books I have. Would you all like that? I think it will be fun to do when I feel better.

Thank you all for reading my blog and until we meet again..Be Blessed.

  1. Hi Erin, have fun with those books. I have the squares book, and I got a borders one and flower one. Don't buy the borders one.. they're all way too complicated and I tried one and it didn't work at all. Just a head's up.

    Get well soon! Hugs, Teresa

  4. Oh crochet books!! You really spoil yourself. The block-book is really great. I have it and it is an endless source of inspiration. The other one looks very interesting. I never heard of double sided crochet, but the pics are stunning. Have a lot of fun with both!
