Tiger

Today has been a sad day for my family. This morning as my kiddos walked to school they found Tiger dead. Not a very good way for the kiddos to start a school day eh?

Anyone who knows anything about me know I love animals. Tiger belonged to one of our neighbors. She threw him out of their house after catching him on her counter and throwing him off and breaking his hip. He loved the kdis so he would venture over to our house every day.

No matter how many times we would take him back to his home he would come back. We started feeding him and letting him sleep in the house. He would ask to go outside when he had to go potty. He was a great cat.

We loved him so much. This morning he was hit by a car (I am assuming). He made it out of the road and into my front flower bed and he just layed down and passed away. I wish I could have helped him as I have some vet tech training but I had no idea what had happened.

He hadn't been gone long when he was found. I checked for a pulse and there was none. He was still warm.

He looked like he was sleeping stretched out on his side in the sunlight.

It is after 2am as I am writing this. I am a very tenderhearted person and everytime I close my eyes I see our precious kitty lying there. I had to bury him and it kills me. I looked for him all day today as I was doing my chores because he is usually following me around. The kiddos understand that he is gone and are sad. My nearly 6 year old is taking it hardest. This is his first lost pet.

I have been crying like a baby all day off and on. My puppies curl up on or beside me telling me I will be ok.

It's hard losing anything you love.

RIP Tiger. 3-18-11

  6. Dear Erin, I'm so sorry that poor little Tiger is gone. I have to keep my cat inside all the time as we have coyotes and raccoons here that kill and eat cats, let alone owls.

He was very cute. Hugs, Teresa
