Rain, Rain, Please, Please, Pretty please, Go AWAY!

Hello my friends. The titles suits this post so well. Here in South-Central Ohio we have gotten several inches of rain over the past few weeks. It has been a mess. Of course, in true Ohio form, it is pouring down again as I type this blog.

But, last week while my hubby was on vacation, we did manage to venture out and explore and go out and date. (have i failed to mention we were best friends in school and we never dated before or during our relationship? Another post then..lol) There were a few pretty days last week and this was during one of those days.

As you can see in this photo, we couldn't get to any of the hot spots in the Paint Creek Lake area. This is the road that goes to the beach.
Looking down the same road, you can see the trees in the the water. Those trees are on a hill above the beach. There are also picnic tables and grills there. The water was almost up to the road as you can see.
The above picture is taken at Paint Creek Lake Marina. Can you see the lamp post out in the middle of the water. There is a parking lot and boat dock missing.
The above picture is of the bathrooms at the marina. These bathrooms are very far away from the natural water line. Behind the bathrooms you can see some of the floating docks of the marina.
Help our road disappeared.
Some of the flooding had gone down and left this tree ripped out of the ground.
Here is the Paint Creek Lake Dam. This is the first time I have ever seen the dam open all the way.  There is usually a rush of water out of it on a normal day but you can see the bottom of the dam through the water. here you can see that the water is rushing out and causing a lot of turbulence.
Here is an even closer picture of the dam. The water was rushing so hard it would splash up on the walkways beside it. The roar of the water was deafening.
Finally here is the water just below the dam. Still looking wild and foamy and brown.

That is all for now my friends. I have more pictures of my adventures to come.

Until next time, Be Blessed.
